PROGRAM Our speaker today was Tracy Drake, Executive Director of the Columbiana County Port Authority.  Tracy gave us an overview of the Port Authority activities including: installing a wireless network that will cover 80 of the county promoting the Baard Energy coal conversion facility near Wellsville expanding the Leetonia Industrial Park   Environmental groups have threatened the Baard Energy project.  If you would like to encourage our elected officials to support this project CLICK HERE to download a form letter that you can print and mail.

Bob won the drawing this week.  The only thing suspicious was that Bob said "YES" before Roger announced the winning number

 

 

Happy/Sad Bucks

• Sondra was happy for March

• Audrey was happy for Ben Gysen scoring 1,000 points

• Dan said Florida was great

• Kerri was happy for a scrapbooking weekend

 

 

Roger reminded us to pay at least 50% of the dues.

 

 

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and the Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 27th

 

 

On May 15th our Club will sponsor a community clean-up day.  We will rent dumpsters, which will be located in the church parking lot across from the police station.  We will charge $5 for a carload and $10 for a truck, van or SUV.

 

 

On DOG Day we will continue to paint fire hydrants.

 

 

The 4-way speech contest will be held on March 1st at the library.

 

 

The District Conference will be held at Mountaineer Racetrack & Resort April 23rd-24th.

 

 

The Interact Club is collecting money for Haiti.  Please put one of the collection boxes in your place of business.
