Notes from the President: March is a very busy month for our Club. Monday night students from our high school presented their 4 Way Test Speech to a panel of 3 judges (Brad, Mary Ann and Kerri) and the winner will go on to the District competition on March 20th at the Fairways in North Canton. Good luck to Erica Wilson! This weekend Kerri and Jeff will attend the All Ohio PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) in Columbus where she will learn how to be a great President for next Rotary year (no pressure Kerri). Last year when I went to PETS it was fantastic and I am sure this year will be just as great. March 20th is the Rotary sponsored National Scrapbook Day held at the Mason's Lodge. This is the third Scrapbook Event Rotary has sponsored and runs from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a whole lot of scrappin going on. This is a fun event and all proceeds go toward Polio Plus. March 27th we have our annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny is on hand as the Rotarians cook up pancakes and sausage. The Easter Hunt is great fun for Rotarians and the participants. Rotarians take great care in gathering up donations, buying the candy and hiding the eggs and when the word "go" is shouted it takes about 10 minutes and all traces of that candy (about 5,000 pieces) are gone. The only time I run that fast is when Wal*Mart is having their after Christmas sales. Our Club is also going to Covington (date to be announced) this month along with our Easter Bunny and handing out small gifts and visiting the residents there. So my message is - Rotarians keep your running shoes on for the month of March. Bonnie
