  • Auction Update:  The Christmas Auction is our major annual fundraiser.  We solicit donations from many local merchants.  Letters have been mailed to the merchants.  All Rotarians have been given a short list of merchants to contact.  You need to follow up with the merchants as soon as possible.  The merchants expect to be contacted, and they will be disappointed (and some upset) if they are not contacted.  The Club makes 100% of the proceeds from the locally donated items.

  • This is the last weekend for youth soccer.  Lisa and Cliff will being working in the trailer.

  • As of Nov 1st Sondra has been a member of the Club for 15 years, and as of Nov. 4th Ross has been a member for 8 years.  Congratulations!

Joke of the Week:

Talking To God

A man was taking it easy, laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds. He was identifying shapes when he decided to talk to God.

"God", he said, "how long is a million years?"

God answered, "In my frame of reference, it's about a minute."

The man asked, "God, how much is a million dollars?"

God answered, "To me, it's a penny."

The man then asked, "God, can I have a penny?"

God answered, "In a minute."

Program:

Carrie Mitchell is a supervisor at the Kyes Home.  She gave us an update on the girls at the Kyes Home and put in a plug for the Children's Services Levy.  The Kyes Home will be on the Home Tour next week.
