District 6650 Exchange Students
'99

News-
11/1/1999
- The James R. Allison Memorial
Exchange Student Soccer Game and Overnighter was a
tremendous success thanks mainly to the efforts of Vicki
Hoffman. Twenty-five exchange students and five potential
outbound students participated. The game was well played;
there was plenty to eat, and the kids had a great time.
Thanks to everyone who helped with this event, with
special thanks to the Salem, Columbiana and East
Liverpool Clubs and to Gorbys Market for their
donations.
- Sondra ran the show today (my ears
are still ringing). Joe won the drawing, and Greg won the
left over shirt.
- The Christmas dinner will be
December 14th. Plan on bringing
one gag gift and one nice gift per member. All gifts
should be wrapped in newspaper.
- Greg offered to set up a video tape
series on Leadership based on the books of
John Maxwell. Let Greg know if you are interested.
- The annual Christmas Auction will
be held November 26th (Friday
after Thanksgiving). Please contact your donors, and have
your items collected by November 15th.
Gift certificates will be sold by silent auction in an
effort to shorten the event. Please sign up for a shift
next week.

Jokes
and Humor
Four baseball fans were climbing a
mountain one day. There was a Mariners fan, a Rangers fan, an
Indians fan and a Yankee fan. Each fan proclaimed to be the most
loyal of all fans to their team.
As they climbed higher, they argued as
to which one of them was the most loyal of all. They continued to
argue all the way up the mountain and finally, as they reached
the top, the Mariners fan hurled himself off the mountain,
shouting "This is for the Mariners", as he fell to his
doom.
Not wanting to be out down, the Rangers
fan threw himself off the Mountain proclaiming "This is for
the Rangers!"
Seeing this, the Indians fan walked over
and shouted, "This is for EVERYONE!"...
and pushed the Yankee fan off the side
of the mountain.
