Club News 5/4/09

Happy/Sad bucks: Vicki had 2 happy bucks because 2 former exchange students got married- Fabian and Daniel

 This Saturday will be the District 6650 Spring Assembly at the Salem Community Center from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.  All Rotarians are invited to attend.

May 9th will be DOG DAY.  The Club will be painting fire hydrants, but not on Saturday.  If individual Rotarians want to work on Saturday you can report to the Park on Saturday morning

The Post Office will be collecting non-perishable  food items on May 9th

May 16th will be Rotary Scrapbooking Day at the Community Lighthouse.

Brad & Bonnie's office will be having an Open House on May 20th from 5-7:30 PM.  All Rotarians are welcome.

We will again be showing movies in the Park during the month of July.

Endia is planning the year-end picnic.

Our Club will be participating in the Relay For Life to be held at Crestview High School on July 10th.

Our speaker today was Dianna Elzer from the East Palestine Chamber of Commerce.  Dianna talked about Trans Continental Military Convoy, which will be coming to East Palestine on June 15, 2009.  This tour is recreating on tour that went through EP on July 12, 1919.  The convoy will stop for lunch in the Park.  We voted to move our meeting on June 15th to the Park.  For more information go to: www.mvpa.org
